content type site integration

0

Hi there, we are currently looking for a better cms solution than we have right now. We are open to all options, but not really interested in compromises anymore. So we have some very specific content types which are done on the backend site, but do need a nice admin/user frontend and a fluent integration into the new cms.

One of them are tournaments. I looked around and am pretty sure pods can't do what i want, but maybe i looked in the wrong places. I'll explain what we need. I'm going to use tournaments as an example content type.

fully integrated, it should be possible to have articles and tournaments on the front page, but decide which ones do show up there and which ones do not. These are the points we would need it to fullfill

a) visible on the front page (aka published) and visible in a subcategory b) visible on the front page and visible in a different subcategory c) visible on the front page and visible in two subcategories d) not visible anywhere (not published) so an admin needs to publish it e) group rights set in a way that some can create, but not publish tournaments d) not published tournaments should show up somewhere, so it is visible for admins that they are not yet published and do require an admin action f) (internally) visible which user did create the tournament and wants it to be published

If i am wrong and pods can do that please point me in the right direction.

Pods could definitely tackle this, though it would take a bit of coding to program the logic you're looking for specifically.
