PODS vs Custom Post Type vs Custom Post Type (extended with PODS)
I'm currently working on a website that use three post types ("establishment", "event" and "post") that are linked together with post2post (by scribu).
I'm currently wondering if PODS 2.0 would be more appropriate (read: easier to maintain and/or faster) than the custom post types / post2post combo. If it is, what type of content would be more appropriate? PODS or Custom Post Type (extended with PODS) ?

Pods 2.0 definitely makes things much easier, since it's a UI to manage all sorts of content types and Pods will do the hard work for you. It might be a little bit until Pods 2.0 is out though, we're doing an extended beta testing process to ensure that our large user base is unaffected by the upgrade process and that the plugin itself is well tested.
